Our capability

We specialise in the biodiversity assessment of the regions of southern NSW and the ACT.

We have regional offices at Crookwell, Wollongong, Albury and Canberra.

Our assessment teams are led by senior ecologists who are accredited by the NSW Government to apply the prescribed Biodiversity Assessment Method and prepare Biodiversity Assessment Reports.

Our mission is to help our clients manage ecological change. We accept that a healthy society and economy requires ongoing development of our natural resources, but that we can play a role minimising the impact of development on biodiversity and even leveraging development for opportunities to improve biodiversity. This can be beneficial for our clients, the environment, and the broader community.

We take lead and supporting roles for:

Our preferred approach is to foster trusted client partnerships to achieve shared goals, while recognising that we are one cog in the development assessment process. A well-managed partnership—connected to the life cycle stage of our clients and pre-empting their ecology needs—supports the smoothest progression from discovery to actualisation of the client’s goals.

We have a respected and trusted relationship with regulators, underpinning honest, rigorous and collaborative discourse on matters of regulatory interpretation.

Our ecology skills are founded in the experience of our people, supported through a practical approach to quality management, and overseen by our senior ecology team. The aim in our quality management system is to ensure rigour, predictability, and compliance in our work. Of course, the critical standard for our work is that which is prescribed in the relevant Commonwealth, State and Territory legislation and regulation covering biodiversity matters.
